Hello! I’m Ian Adler (he/him), a first-year science teacher at Williamstown. My career in teaching and work outdoors has been a winding one, from environmental education, to ecological restoration & trail projects, to student support, landscaping, and various research projects during college. I have a passion for teaching and learning about wildlife and the outdoors, particularly land-use history and disturbance, geology, botany, and birds. I keep myself busy by exploring guitar, mandolin, and other instruments, walking around the forest, or experimenting in the kitchen with wild and domestic ingredients.

Mr. Adler’s goals for himself and the students this year center around engaging students in the outdoors, building and strengthening a sense of community, and encouraging thoughtful observations, questions, and feedback to one another.
